Writing

Today in Y3 we did some writing about this picture. We had to try of really good words and sentences that described the picture that was on our whiteboard. Everyone who was in class had a go. If you like our writing leave us a comment ……… we love to read them.

Oscar - It has so much shining and good and fantastic and its just great and pretty. It is an explosion and red and orange and so much light.

Although there was a bit of nagging to put names on writing some of us didn’t!

If you wrote (and I think Sophie, who came up with the wonderful word “shimmering” was one) a piece of writing, and it isn’t here, come and see me tomorrow and I will put it on the website.

By the way it was really nice to be back with my first Year 1 class this afternoon. They have really grown up!

Y3’s Author Presentations

Jessica was very kind and said she would go first.
James reported, Jacqueline Wilson was a very good author to do and it was very interesting that it took her three to six months to actually write a book.

Sam Talked about Michael Morpurgo.
Sophie said that one his books was turned into a film “Why the Whales Came”. Cameron explained that Sam was very clear and had lots of information in.

Sophie chose Jacqueline Wilson. Ryan found out that she had sold 10 million books and she told us loads of information. Well done.

Oscar chose to speak about Rose Impey. Elle found out that Rose was born in Cheshire and Oscar’s presentation was very good.

New stars

Well done Elle and Alex, our last two superstars. Some lovely nominations once again - great to see the reasons children have for choosing our superstars. How good to have ‘nice, funny, kind and gentle’ children in Y3.
